Over the weekend at Hurlingham, Colchester and Bath three Bowdon members were taking part in the Eights. Jack Good was in the First Eight (the Presidents Cup). Nigel Matthews was in the Fourth Eight (the Treasurers Tankard). Robert Essler took part in the Selectors Weekend Swiss.
Jack was runner up in the First Eight, winning 10 matches, Stephen Mulliner won the Eight winning 12 of his matches. As Runner up Jack received the Jaques Centenary Cup, which he also won last year.
Meanwhile in the Fourths, Nigel came first, winning 10 of his matches and the Tankard that goes with it. The first time this has been won by a Bowdon Player.
In the Swiss , Robert won 3 of his 7 games.
Well done to them all.
