It seems that in recent weeks Bowdon and Bury have played each other numerous times, this time its the turn of the Griffins vs the Caesars in the NWF 26pt League.
The Griffins team was Mike Flannery (11), Robert Cuts-Watson, (10), Ros Pimlott (14) and Philip Thompson (22). The Caesars were: Tony Phillips (3.5), Chris Alvey (6), Anne Alvey (8) and Duncan Mechin (18).
The lawns were quite heavy and as such the Griffins struggles early on to get the ball to go where they wanted, might be the lawns but might be lack of skill, certainly that was the case for Captain Flannery, who lost both his games. The Doubles team of Robert and Phil did better winning their match against Tony and Duncan. Ros ended the day with a win for Griffins against Anne.
In the end Bury were winners by 5 games to 2.
