A short trip down the M56, saw the Weekdayers under the captaincy of Nigel Matthews (5P) visit Chester, the top team in the league. The rest of the team was Ken Cooper (3P) and Paul Harris (1).
The Chester Team was: Andy Wilson-Chalon (2), Sally Slater (3.5) and Sarah Clements (5).
The day started well for Bowdon winning the first round of games 3 to Chester 0, However things didn’t go so well after that, with Chester winning 5 of the next 6 games to take the tie 5 games to Bowdon’s 4, and with it goes Bowdons chances of winning the league, never mind there’s always next year!
