Bowdon welcomed visitors Players from Auckland, Brodsworth Hall, Colchester, Mumbles, Wrest Park and Bowdon enjoyed playing between 11 and 13 level play games. With handicaps varying from 3 to 12.
The aim of the holiday was to be friendly but competitive, and to enjoy company and good food. On the Monday evening there was entertainment at the club.
Kay Martin provided much appreciated food throughout, Lorna Frost organised the games, and there was lots of laughter, especially during the fun evening. The games were hard fought. Kath Wright of Mumbles won the singles, and Kath and Garth Aspinall of Bowdon won the doubles. The players went home happy, resolving to bring their friends next year.
