Captain Cas Sinclair (3.5) took the Weekenders along the M56 to play Chester in the NWF Short League. The rest of the team was: Lorna Frost (3.5), Brian Medley (2P) and Sheila Dix (10); playing her first AC match for Bowdon! The Chester team was Andy Wilson-Chalon (3), Helen Brophy (4), Sarah Clements(6), Anthony Fletcher (10).
Chester stormed into a 3 to 1 lead after the first session and never looked back. The second session was halved, but Chester kept its lead by winning the third session again 3 to 1 and the final session was halved. Chester running out 10 to 6 winners.
