On a dry and mainly warm and sunny bank holiday weekend 16 players took part in the annual May Handicap Tournament. The tournament was expertly run by manager Lorna Frost and secretary Angharrad Walters. Of the 16 players 10 were Bowdon members with others coming from NWFed clubs, York, Huddersfield and Bath.
The final was between Sue Longcroft and Andrew Willis with Sue managing to win with her forest of bisques. The winner of the Egyptian competition was Liz Webb. The NWFed Millennium AC Handicap trophy was awarded to Andrew Thomson as the highest placed player from a club within the NW Fed.
Thanks to the Lorna and Angharrad and to the lawns maintenance team and all who made the three days so enjoyable.
