Bowdon Bombers beat the Crake Valley team, at Bowdon, in the Croquet North West Level Play Golf Croquet League on Wednesday 28th August. The match was very close, with the Bombers winning by 10-8. When the last 3 games were played, Bowdon were ahead 8-7, so needed to win 2 more for the match. They held their nerves and won the critical 2 games. Well done Bombers. The Bombers have to play two more games, against Llanfairfechan Dragons and one which had to be re-arranged, against Chester Centurions. If they win those matches then they win the league.
