Bowdon achieved a great win over Wrest Park, 5 – 2, in the Quarter Final of the Longman Cup, on 10th July. This remarkable team now play at Southport in the Semi Final on Tuesday 20th August. Southport had defeated Penrith in their Quarter Final. Andrew’s leadership supported by consistent selection, and some excellent handicap play, has proved to be very successful. Well done team.
The Longman Cup is a national AC Handicap knock-out competition for croquet clubs. This handicap competition requires an aggregate handicap of at least 24 and the lowest handicap to be greater than 3.
