The annual Croquet North West Millennium Short Croquet Tournament, on Wednesday 24th to Thursday 25th July was won by Cas Sinclair, who added this trophy to her collection. Well done Cas. Cas was presented with her trophy by Brian Storey, Club President. Brian Storey was runner-up and was presented with a piece of cake by club Vice-President Liz Webb. Roger Brooks from Westmorland won the Bowdon Short Croquet Trophy ( similar to an Egyptian competition) and received his trophy from Brian.
The weather was good for the 2 days of play; the lawns were in excellent condition thanks to Alan Mayne and John Greatbanks, and Brian Medley was a very efficient manager.
