Andrew Winn played in the East Midlands Championship at Nottingham, 28th to 30th June. This Championship is restricted to players with handicaps in the range -2.5 to 2.5. In the Draw half Andrew beat Andrew Davies 26-18 in the first round and beat Ian Lines 26-20 in the second round. However he was beaten by Gabrielle Higgins 18-26 in the third round. In the Process half Andrew beat Phil Eardley 26-21 in the first round and beat Joe King 26-18 in the second round. In the third round he lost to Debbie Lines 9-26tp. Four good wins for Andrew.
The Championship was won by James Death who beat Debbie Lines 26-7 in the final.
