The bank holiday weekend was very busy for our members. Three of whom, Charles Harding, Brian Medley and Rob Essler, were enjoying themselves playing in the B-Advanced Tournament at Pendle. Charles was presented with the trophy by Brian, although the photo could be seen as Brian making an attempt to nick it!! You will have to wait until next year for that opportunity Brian.

The format for play was the increasingly common Swiss ‘league table’, rather than knock-out.
Charles won 4 of his 5 games. Brian Medley won 3 of his 5 and Rob Essler won 2 out of just 3. The runner up was Paul Harbord, who also won 4 out 5, but was beaten by Charles when they went head-to-head.
