This bank holiday weekend Bowdon hosts the annual, and ever-popular, May Handicap Tournament, the Reed Cup, Saturday 4th to Monday 6th of May.. We are pleased to have a full complement of 16 players including 6 guests. Lorna will be managing the tournament, so everything is sure to proceed smoothly, or else! John Lucas will be prowling around taking photos of competitors and looking out for any unattended trifle!
Spectators are definitely welcome to come along to watch some exciting croquet from players who have varied skill levels but equality in their determination to win. In particular, newer players may learn something about using bisques from watching experienced handicap players. The weather forecast is quite encouraging so we should all enjoy the weekend.
