The Longman cup is a national Croquet Association inter-club competition, played as a series of knock-out rounds. Individual players must have handicaps of 3.5 and above, and teams must have an aggregate handicap of at least 24. We lost 3-4 against Bury on Sunday 21st May. The team was:
In the morning Adrian (3.5) & Mike (10) beat Ken Jones (4) & Anne Alvey (14) on golden hoop.
Louise (14) lost to Chris Alvey (8) by -15, and John (11) lost to Ged Smolskas (3.5) by -9.
In the afternoon Adrian beat Ged by +7, Mike lost to Ken by -13 on time, John lost to Chris by -6 and Louise beat Anne +1 on time
