Jack Good wins Reed Cup

12 players enjoyed 2 days of croquet. The weather was rather mixed, with sunshine on Sunday, but some showers on Monday.

Eventually Jack Good and Louise Cheyne braved the elements and showed the skill required to meet in the final. It was a tense affair with Louise using her bisques to go ahead. Then Jack pegged out Louise’s lead ball, and successfully fought off Louise’s challenge when she hit in twice. Jack’s backward ball was at 2, but he gradually overtook Louise whose ball was at 6, and played most of his remaining 11 hoops using just his two balls. Louise managed to take two more hoops whilst Jack completed his win. Jack is now showing an ability at Association Croquet to add to his international reputation at Golf Croquet. Very well done Jack.
