Bowdon hosted Culcheth for the first handicap golf croquet match of the season. We had not been able to play Culcheth since 2018, because of Covid regulations, the lawn at Culcheth being flooded, and a booking of their whole sports club that clashed with the date we were to play. So it was a happy occasion to be able to welcome them to Bowdon, on a dry if chilly day.
This was our first time to play the new Advantage Golf game in a match. Bowdon won both the doubles games. Both teams won 8 of the singles games. Carol and Fred each won three singles games and Mike and Margaret each won one. The detailed scores are below.
