Margaret Moss won through to the Area Final at Ashby CC, and had an enjoyable day. She was up against players from Ashby, Wrest Park and Kenilworth. She was the only representative of the North. It was good fun, but the opposition proved too accurate for her. She lost 4-7 to Penny Manton, 5-7 to Terry Collis, 6-7 to Mick Haytack, and 6-7 to Gill Brewer, and won 7-4 against Ian Robertson. Margaret caught up on news of Wrest Park, which was her home base when at university and in Kenya. Her trip involved a pleasant stop with an old school friend. Altogether it was a worthwhile if challenging weekend.
